Gamby Studios and Mobitics Merge to Form Unique Web Marketing Agency

New entity combines best of online marketing & e-commerce; offers FREE web design services for businesses impacted by Hurricane Sandy Two local web design and marketing companies have merged in hopes that its combination of online marketing specialties and experience will provide a broader range of services to their clients.

The merger of Gamby Studios, a full-service marketing agency, and Mobitics, an international e-commerce developer, will allow the two entities to formally pool their team of resources. After sharing several clients over the past few years, owners Daniel Gamboa and Jaime Schuster were both getting more demand for digital marketing, receiving requests for solutions to update branding and messaging on a monthly (or even weekly) basis. The transaction was finalized this month, and the new agency will keep the Gamby Studios name.

"We were both looking to expand our businesses," said Schuster. "It just made sense – we felt it would be useful to leverage both our teams." The owners are now both principals of the new firm, with Gamboa serving as Creative Director and Schuster serving as Chief Technology Officer. As two small business owners that have weathered tough times, both Gamboa and Schuster felt the first thing they should do was to offer one free banner design to those businesses that were impacted by Hurricane Sandy, which could be used for purposes of a website, Facebook or Twitter page, email template, or online banner ad.

Gamboa has been providing web and graphic design, digital/email marketing and other communication services since 2005. Clients range from blue-chip companies like Philips Healthcare and Nuance Communications to abroad range of public and private clients throughout the U.S. and South America. The company has had a focus on the high-tech sector. Mobitics, also branded as the "Shopping Cart Experts," has specialized in providing its large base of international clients professional e-commerce sites. Clients are located in North/ Central/South America, as well as in the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

"At the end of the day, clients just want results," said Gamboa. "Working with Gamby Studios, we can now offer marketing managers a group of highly specialized experts, at a fraction of the cost of hiring in-house, or an expensive, big-box New York agency."
